Understanding Youth Stroke
NoahStrong works with healthcare professionals to increase awareness and understanding of youth stroke, helping parents, coaches, teachers and others recognize when something may be wrong and seek care quickly.

Noah’s symptoms appeared very suddenly while he was participating in sports. Because he was young, healthy and active, stroke was not initially an obvious explanation. Despite extensive medical investigation, the cause of Noah’s stroke remained uncertain, underscoring the importance of greater awareness, understanding and research into stroke among children and youth.
A significant part of Noah’s rehabilitation took place at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. In Noah’s honour, NoahStrong supports the Bloorview Research Institute and its work to advance pediatric rehabilitation research through an annual donation.
NoahStrong also partnered with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) to establish a Pediatric Resident Bursary, and is a proud partner of NOSM’s annual Pediatric Conference.
